Lowestoft dredging to commence next month

Building and civil engineering contractor McLaughlin & Harvey has made some great progress at the Port of Lowestoft project lately.

The company is working for the client Associated British Ports on the development of Lowestoft Eastern Energy Facility (LEEF) – a major ABP investment project on Lowestoft’s Outer Harbour.

Encompassing sites to the East and West of the Harbour, LEEF is tailored to the offshore energy industry’s latest requirements.

According to McLaughlin & Harvey, the crews are currently undertaking piling on the main quay wall, anchor wall and fuel bund.

The project also requires a capital dredging of the approach channels and a maintenance dredging works. As reported by the contractor, dredging is set to commence next month, along with the reinforced concrete works.
