Magoodhoo land reclamation in full swing

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has just released the latest update on the F. Magoodhoo Land Reclamation and Shore Protection Project.

According to MTCC, the work is well underway, with overall 50% project progress.

“We have completed island reclamation operations. Geo bag filling work is currently ongoing,” said MTCC.

Scope of works will include:

• 17 hectares island reclamation operations,

• 30.8 hectares airport reclamation operations,

• 1,948m rock boulder revetment,

• 1,665m geo bag revetment,

• 90m groyne.

The value of the project is MVR 232.26 million (over $15 million).
