Grants of up to $150,000 will support organizations that manage public boat ramps across Victoria to upgrade existing facilities so that boat ramps are more accessible at a range of tides and plan for future dredging works.

The grants will be overseen by Better Boating Victoria, which is progressing the state’s biggest ever boat ramp construction program and continuing to ensure launching and parking is free at all of Victoria’s public ramps.

Last year’s grant recipients included Frankston City Council to dredge at the mouth of Kananook Creek while Moyne Shire Council received a grant to remove sediment along the Moyne River at Port Fairy and Tooradin boat ramp has benefited from better access at a range of tides.
