According to Mud Cat, their customer opted for Mud Cat’s Radio Sense™ radio remote control technology as well as Auto Sense™ which returns the dredge to its start position at the end of the cut when using the remote-control system.

This allows the operator to set the cut and let the dredge proceed without constantly monitoring the controls and additionally it prevents the dredge from cutting into the bank if the operator is temporarily distracted,” said Mud Cat.

The system boasts a powerful 125 HP (93 kW) diesel engine, 2,000 GPM (454m3/hr.) dredge pump, and a powerful cutterhead with the patented Pump Defender for reducing downtime in debris rich environments by up to 80%.”

The radio remote control provides additional versatility in toxic environments where safety is paramount.
