Presided over by Laguna PENRO Venerando U. Garcia, the meeting served as a platform for agency updates, policy discussions, and presentations on key environmental initiatives, including:

  • solid waste management technologies,
  • dredging projects,
  • sanitary landfill monitoring,
  • sewage treatment projects, and
  • the updated MWSS Sewerage and Sanitation Masterplan.

Mandamus agencies were also reminded of their compliance requirements, particularly the timely submission of quarterly accomplishment reports.

According to DENR, the activity reaffirmed the importance of the whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach in addressing environmental concerns within the Manila Bay watershed.
