Another successful campaign for Dutch Dredging

Baggerbedrijf De Boer – Dutch Dredging recently completed another successful campaign for the client Port of Waterford (Engineer Anthony D. Bates Partnership LLP) in Ireland.

Dutch Dredging

The Port of Waterford is a modern efficient port and the closest Irish lift-on lift-off and bulk port to mainland Europe. The dredging locations for this project included the River Suire and the Port of Waterford in South East Ireland.

The main aim of this dredging campaign was to remove accumulations of sediment from the channels, turning area and berths at the Port of Waterford.

According to Dutch Dredging, primary dredging areas were Duncannon Bar and Cheeckpoint Lower bar.

The campaign was conducted by the trailing suction hopper dredger Lesse. Before this, hopper dredger Amazone, which operates mainly in Europe, was responsible for dredging the Port of Waterford.
