The Netherlands: Six Free Accessible Advanced Technology Conferences at Europort 2011
The Netherlands is known worldwide for its maritime expertise, advanced technology and innovative shipyards. Europort 2011 (8 till 11 November) is the place where this expertise, technology and innovation comes together. Innovative developments in ‘Advanced Technology’ in the various Dutch maritime sub-sectors will be presented in six Advanced Technology Conferences (ATC’s).
These conferences are freely accessible and will be organised by HME in cooperation with Ahoy and with the support of the main sponsor Alewijnse Marine Systems and sub sponsors; PPG Industries, and Maritime by Holland.
Advanced Technology Conferences
Each Advanced Technology conference covers a two-hour program. The dynamic, short sessions are take place at the Europort Theatre, which is located between Hall 1 and 2. Per maritime sub-sector, prominent players in the market will be presenting their newest technologies. There is time for discussion on the end of each conference, giving the (inter)national audience the opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge.

With over 1100 electrical engineering professionals and 100 years of experience, Alewijnse Marine Systems is one of the prominent innovative marine knowledge companies in the Netherlands. Alewijnse Marine Systems is the main sponsor of the ATC and will give the visitors of Europort an insight in their most innovative products during their presentations at several ATC´s.
PPG Industries & Maritime by Holland
Both PPG industries and Maritime by Holland act as sub sponsor at the Advanced Technology Conferences. Sigma Coatings is part of PPG industries and has produced a wide range of coatings since their start in 1722. Maritime by Holland has been representing the Holland Branding for the Dutch maritime cluster. At Europort, this branding will be expressed by means of two Maritime by Holland Pavilions at the exhibition.
