Rotterdam Port: Iv-Infra Awarded for Framework Agreement (The Netherlands)

Iv-Infra Awarded for Framework Agreement

Port of Rotterdam Authority has awarded five parties, one of which is the combination MariTeam, for a framework agreement for a term of three years.

This framework agreement includes engineering services for the realization of maritime infrastructural projects. The agreement will be signed on 22 March 2013, but MariTeam has already been awarded with the first assignment. The combination MariTeam consists of Iv-Infra, B.V. Ingenieursbureau M.U.C., SBE nv and MH Poly.

The realisation of Maasvlakte 2 (MV2) created more space for temporary activities. As more and more goods are shipped through Rotterdam, the market demands more facilities for board-to-board transshipment of bulk goods. To continue to meet this demand, Port of Rotterdam Authority wants to realise two temporary storage facilities and put these into operation within a short period of time. The storage facilities need to be suited for accommodating and facilitating huge containerships such as the Panamax (294 x 32 metres) and VLCC (350 x 59 metres).

The combination MariTeam will be responsible for the Design & Construct contract, design and specifications. During the execution of the project, quality will be guaranteed by means of Systematic Contract Management (SCM).
