Port of Sète to Get New Dock

Conseil régional Languedoc-Roussillon has invited bidders to submit their offers for development of a new dock at the Port of Sète.

This work includes the realization of H dock of 467m length for a rating of dredging set to -14.50m ZH.

The future quay will be positioned 70m around the top of the current dike of about 15m, and it will host container vessels 260m in length.

The platform is designed for a further deepening of 1m if feasible retrospectively.

Facilities include pathways for rails (gantry crane, hopper, pneumatic unloader), the establishment of marine equipment (bollards, fenders, etc.), the implementation of different services (electricity, lighting, etc.).

The project period is 36 months from the date of contract award, and the tender deadline is April 29, 2013.
