USA: Boustany Addresses Need for Dredging (VIDEO)

Rep. Charles Boustany (LA-03) spoke on the House floor on July 9, 2013, about the increased funding in the Harbor Maintenance Trust Fund.

Dredging funds are needed to maintain the nation’s ports and harbors.

According to the Army Corps of Engineers, nearly 1,000 ports and harbors have not been properly maintained and this legislation, the Energy and Water Appropriations Bill, will address these issues.

Efficient waterways leads to more trade and more jobs in South Louisiana and across the United States.
