Government Invests in New Brunswick Harbours.

The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, announced an investment of $7.2 million to support improvement projects at three small craft harbours in New Brunswick.

This investment is part of the regular program funding for small craft harbours across Canada in 2014-2015.

The major projects that are receiving funding include:

– The multiyear reconstruction of a wharf at Shippagan;

– The reconstruction of a wharf and repairs to another wharf at Lamèque, over two years;

– The multiyear reconstruction of the breakwater wharf at Le Goulet.

Additional New Brunswick harbour projects will be announced at a later date.
