Weeks Marine Nabs Mississippi Dredge Contract
Weeks Marine has been awarded an $18.7 million firm-fixed-price contract with options for Mississippi River hopper dredge disposal from Baton Rouge to the Gulf of Mexico, according to defense.gov.
The work will be performed in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with an estimated completion date of February 10, 2015.
Bids were solicited via the Internet, with two received. Fiscal 2014 other procurement funds in the amount of US$18.7 million are being obligated at the time of the award.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, Louisiana, is the contracting activity.
