The Cleveland Harbor East Breakwater Project, aimed to repair the $24.9 million worth of damages caused by Superstorm Sandy in October 2012, is moving forward.

Repair work to the 3,200 linear feet of breakwater is being completed by Great Lakes Dock & Materials L.L.C., Muskegon, MI and includes the placement of armor stone as well as 12,577 precast 8-ton dolos that began this week.

As part of the $24.9 million dollar contract, 12,577 dolosse will be cast by Lindsay Concrete Products Co., located south of Cleveland in Canal Fulton, Ohio.
