Bids Invited for Nairn Harbor Dredging Contract

Business & Finance

The Highland Council has invited bidders to submit their offers for the Nairn Harbor dredging contract.

The cleanup scheme will involve removing about 12,000 cubic meters of accumulated silt, mud and sand that have built up over several decades within the facility’s inner harbor.

A temporary ramp will be installed between the basin and the car park, and from the carpark to the beach.

The excavated materials will be transported to the nearby foreshore for disposal using dumpers.

The financial value of the contract is yet to be established.
