CPRA 2017 Draft Coastal Master Plan Meetings Announced

The Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) will hold several public meetings in January on the development, implementation and enforcement of the comprehensive protection and restoration Master Plan for Louisiana.

In accordance with Louisiana legislation, CPRA is providing an update to the Master Plan every five years in order to take maximum advantage of new science, innovation and lessons learned.

CPRA is also required to update their Annual Plan, to showcase near-term projects and budget allocations forecasted over the next three fiscal years.

As part of the Master Plan and Annual Plan process, CPRA has scheduled four public meetings to take comment on both Draft Plans.

The schedule for public hearings is as follows:

  • Lake Charles
    January 17, 2017
    Lake Charles Civic Center
  • New Orleans
    January 18, 2017
