2nd East Africa Port Expansion Event Set for Next Week

The dates of 2nd East Africa Port Expansion Conference have been changed to 18-20 April 2018, according to the event organizer IQPC.

At the conference in Mombasa, Kenya, IQPC will gather senior port representatives, consultants and contractors, in order to share their knowledge and drive better business in the region.

The company also announced that high-ranking representatives from the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development in Kenya; Kenya Maritime Authority; Kenya Port Authority; Transnet Port Terminals, APM Terminals; AECOM; and more will gather in Mombasa to discuss their port expansion and development projects worth more than $6 billion.

Some of the projects to be discussed include:

  • Mombasa Port Expansion – estimated project cost of $500 million;
  • Kipevu Oil Terminal Relocation – estimated project cost of $1.5 billion;
