Baggerbedrijf de Boer – Dutch Dredging has just released this beautiful video from the the Kiel Canal dredging project in Brunsbüttel.
At the moment, the trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) Van de Graaf Sr and bed leveler/ploughboat Bertus are working on this maintenance dredging scheme.
Maintenance dredging is being conducted to ensure uninterrupted access to the outports and inner harbors (including locks).
In fact, the dredgers are deployed to create and maintain the required depths and widths in the Port of Brunsbüttel (inner harbor and outports) and the navigable channel.
Baggerbedrijf de Boer – Dutch Dredging is a medium size dredging company, based in Sliedrecht in the Netherlands. The holding is an independent private company.
Also, the total scope of activities consists of dredging, surveying and related marine operations in the fullest sense.
