The first shipment of rock arrives at Bilehfahi Harbor

Work on the Sh. Bilehfahi Harbor development program is moving forward according to schedule.

The first shipment of rock boulders required for the breakwater construction of Sh. Bilehfahi Harbor was delivered to the project site yesterday, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) said in their latest project update.

The work involves:

• dredging and excavation operations – 24,125cbm;

• construction of a 376m breakwater;

• a 98m quay wall;

• installation of 1,150 sqm paved area, etc.

The value of the project is MVR 28.42 million ($1.8 million).
