Etermar consortium wins Port of Leixoes deal

A consortium led by Etermar – Engenharia e Construção, S.A. has won the tender for the Reinforcement of Dock 1 North of the Port of Leixões for Dual Use and Rail Connectivity.

This project for APDL is part of the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

CEF is a key EU funding instrument to promote growth, jobs and competitiveness through targeted infrastructure investment at European level. 

It supports the development of high performing, sustainable and efficiently interconnected trans-European networks in the fields of transport, energy and digital services.

According to Etermar, the new dock will allow the berth of larger vessels as well as improve the existing ro-ro accessibility. It will take 30 months to complete.
