PHOTO UPDATE: Repairing breakwater between Star Island and Cedar Island

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England, is repairing breakwater 1 between Star Island and Cedar Island, on the Isle of Shoals which is located in New Hampshire and Maine.

This project consists of bringing in 10,000 tons of new 8-13 ton stone as well as harvesting existing displaced stone.

Also, the project will be upgrading breakwaters 2 and 3 as well between Cedar Island, Smutty Nose Island and Malaga Island.
