Norway: Officials Invite Bidders for Finnsnesrenna Dredging Project

Kystverket Nordland has invited tenders for the dredging works at the Kabelvåg area.

This project includes improvements to the main and secondary channels through Finnsnesrenna.

The main channel shall have a width of 150m and be deepened down to contour line -11.3, whilst the secondary channel shall have a width of 120m and be deepened down to contour line -8.3. The uncompacted material from the deepening works shall be deposited in a sea depot site, including some uncompacted matter that is polluted with TBT. The polluted material will be deposited at the bottom of the depot site.

The blasted stone matter to be delivered to 2 private jetty projects. One belongs to the Holmen boat association and the other to the Olderhamna boat association.

The deadline for this tender is August 29, 2012.
