Great News for Bahman Port Development

Managing Director of Gheshm Free Zone said that the Gheshm Island has been officially recognized by the Ministry of Oil as the Island of oil, energy and petrochemical products.

Pointing out to the investment worth $250 million by Petropars Company for development of Bahman Port in the Gheshm Free Zone revealed that development of this port will come to and end by the end of the year and the ground would be prepared for import and export.

He also said that construction of Persian Gulf bridge which is to link the Gheshm Island to the mainland Iran will provide a better condition for the import and export of cargo.

Development of infrastructure for development of industrial activities is a strategy for the Gheshm Free Zone, Mr. Pourkourd said and the traders and investors have welcomed this initiative.

Gheshm Island is located in the southern Iran bordering the Persian Gulf. It is among minor ports development of which is on the agenda of the Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) as the port-and-maritime authority of Iran.
