Colombo’s new deep draft terminal constructed under the Colombo Port Expansion Project (CPEP) received its first container carrier, an 11,000 TEU Ultra Large Container Ship (ULCS) “MV CMA CGM PEGASUS” operated by CMA CGM, the world’s third largest container group and number one in France, on the 5th of August, 2013.

 

Peel Ports Appoints BAM – Van Oord JV for Liverpool2 Container Terminal

A joint venture comprising BAM Nuttall and Van Oord has been awarded a contract valued at £75 million by Peel Ports as part of its £300 million scheme to create to new container terminal on the Mersey estuary in Liverpool.

 

CCCC Second Harbor Inks Nicaragua Canal Feasibility Study Contract

CCCC Second Harbor Consultants Co., Ltd. has recently signed the contract for the feasibility study project of the port part of Nicaragua canal, with a contract value of 4.32 million US dollars.

3rd International Congress Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging

Russia’s leading maritime industry Media Group PortNews (www.portnews.ru) holds a traditional annual Congress “Hydraulic Engineering Structures and Dredging” in Moscow.
