VIDEO: Newpriok Port Development (Indonesia)

Newpriok Port Development

Newpriok Terminal aims to build a more efficient and sophisticated national logistics network that will attract more investment into Indonesia and the region. It will boost productivity levels comparable to major ports worldwide.

The initial development phase for the port expansion at Newpriok Terminal will be undertaken on a Fast Track basis.

Already Indonesia’s largest port operator, IPC’s Newpriok Terminal will accommodate up to 13 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of containers annually, more than tripling the capacity of Tanjung Priok to over 18 million TEUs when fully completed in 2023.

Newpriok Terminal will also boost the capacity and efficiency of national logistics chains, with productivity levels comparable to major ports worldwide and the enhanced ability to serve larger container ships. The port will provide throughout for EEE class of container ships to pass through Indonesia without the need for trans-shipment in another port.
