Ghana to Get Two New Ports
Two ports, two container ships and 18 landing sites will be constructed as part of the Eastern Corridor Multi-modal Transport project.
One of the ports will be sited at Akosombo while the other will be situated at Buipe or Yapei in the north.
Government on Monday signed a 314 million dollars contract with the Chinese contractor, China Shipbuilding and Offshore Company International to pave way for the project to start in November this year.
The funds are being made available under the China Development Bank loan.
