Dredging Could Lead to Delays on Casco Bay Bridge, MaineDOT Says

Due to the dredging operations in Portland Harbor, Cashman Dredging of Quincy, MA, has requested, and has been granted permission for additional openings of the Casco Bay Bridge between Portland and South Portland.

Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) spokesperson Ted Talbot said there will be up to 4 additional openings in a 24-hour period.

From February 14th through February 21st, random openings may occur as work requires. Between February 22nd and the 26th, there will be approximately 8 addtional openings every 24 hours.

After February 26th, the balance of the work will be away from the Casco Bay Bridge.
