The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Region- 2 (MGB R02) through MGB Regional Director Mario Ancheta confirmed that black sand dredging along the shorelines of Cagayan province has been stopped.

Ancheta ordered the former black sand dredging permitees to conduct rehabilitation efforts in mining areas.

He said that the mining companies should free the area with its dredging equipment.
