SDI Wins Port of Rouen Dredging Contract

SDI (Société de Dragage International), DEME Group’s French subsidiary, has won the Port of Rouen dredging contract.

The main goal of this EUR 21 million project is to improve access to the Port of Rouen by carrying out works to deepen the Courval to Duclair zone in three areas (PK 285.5-289.0; PK 304.5-309.0; PK 316.0-320.0).

As part of this contract, SDI will conduct disposal of the dredged sediment at the designated dumping sites, according to the Grand Port Maritime de Rouen.

The dredging will be carried out so as not to interfere with the usual commercial shipping channel.

Rouen is a major river port on the Seine leading down to Paris and its region and further afield.
