Latest addition to CEMEX UK Marine fleet, the 103.5m long aggregate dredger ‘CEMEX Go Innovation’ has successfully completed sea trials in the Black Sea.
Following the sea trials, this Damen type MAD3500 dredger will now head out for dredging and unloading trials in the UK waters.
The first of Damen’s new Marine Aggregate Dredgers, the CEMEX Go Innovation is the result of close cooperation between CEMEX UK Marine and Damen.
The vessel represents next generation of efficient and economical dredgers specializing in the extraction of sand and gravel from the seabed.
The construction of this specialized vessel took place at the Damen Shipyards Galati (DSGa) in Romania.
After the trials, CEMEX Go Innovation will be handed over to the new owners. The dredger will mine sand and gravel in the British Channel at -55 m using a Di 700 mm trailing pipe system.
