Manson bags $22.8M West Coast dredging contract

Manson Construction of Seattle, Washington, yesterday won a $22.8 million USACE contract for maintenance dredging work in Portland, Oregon.

Under the deal, the contractor will provide a suitable hopper dredge and support equipment to remove approximately 3.3 million cubic yards of materials from multiple locations on the West Coast of the United States.

According to the Corps, the dredging will be taking place in the shipping channels and berths in Humboldt Bay, CA; Mouth of the Columbia River, OR/WA; Lower Columbia River, OR/WA; and Grays Harbor, WA.

USACE also added that based on project needs and funding availability, an additional 2.85 million cubic yards of optional dredging quantities may be awarded to the contractor under the West Coast dredging project.

Anticipated period of performance for all work is April through December 2024.
