Calcasieu River Dredging Contract Awarded.

Mike Hooks, Inc., a Westlake dredging company, has won a $19.5 million contract for maintenance dredging in Calcasieu and Cameron parishes, according to defense.gov.

This deepening project will be performed in Lake Charles, Louisiana, with an estimated completion date of May 25, 2015. The dredging includes the Calcasieu River and pass from mile 5 to mile 15, Sabine Unit 1A, and Devil’s Elbow.

Mike Hooks, Inc. provides dredging services for government and private marine construction contracts in Gulf Coast Region, and it offers navigable waterways maintenance dredging, wetland replenishment, beach restoration, harbor excavation, and new construction services.
