Exceptional Year for Van Oord

Van Oord, a Dutch contracting company that specializes in dredging and land reclamation, has just published its annual report 2014.

DEME Begins Work on Tuas Terminal

The Maritime and Port Authority Singapore (MPA) and the Joint Venture comprising of Dredging International Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. – Daelim Industrial Co. Ltd. today officially signed a $1.8 billion worth Tuas Terminal Phase 1 contract.

Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) is building one of the largest oil refining plants in the world, the Al-Zour Refinery. The refinery will be constructed on land reclaimed by Van Oord in ‘sabkha area’, a salt plain near the coast some 30 kilometers north of the Saudi border.

Liebherr Unveils New Machine

With the HS 8130 HD Liebherr presented a new duty cycle crawler crane during the recent customer days in its factory in Nenzing. Special focus lies on performance optimization and safety as well as the quick and easy transportation and mobilization of the machine.

Uljanik Builds Cutter Suction Dredger for IHC 

Croatian shipbuilder Uljanik has begun construction of a self-propelled cutter suction dredger (Yard No. 512) for IHC Global Production B.V., part of the IHC Merwede.
